Industry
Electronics content that explains the spec in plain language.
Buyers in this category research hard, compare in tabs and decide on specifics. Your content has to answer the comparison, not just look premium.
Somebody deciding between your earbuds and a competitor's has fourteen tabs open. The content that wins is the one that answers their specific question fastest.
The formats that sell devices
Unboxing
What arrives, in what order, in what quality of packaging. Watched by people who are close to buying.
Feature demo
One feature per clip, demonstrated rather than described — noise cancellation, battery, water resistance, the app.
Spec visualisation
Motion graphics that turn numbers into something you can feel: how long 40 hours of battery actually lasts.
Real-use footage
The product in the environment it is built for — commute, gym, kitchen, desk — not on a plinth.
Hero product film
Controlled studio lighting, macro detail and motion control for launch and hero page.
Setup and support
Pairing, app walkthrough, troubleshooting. Cuts returns caused by 'it does not work'.
Shooting technology well
- Screens must be shot at a shutter angle that avoids banding and moiré, or composited in post
- Glossy black plastic and glass need tented lighting or every light in the room appears in the reflection
- Fingerprints and dust are visible at macro — we shoot with gloves and clean between takes
- Cables, ports and buttons deserve their own frames; they are what comparison shoppers zoom into
- LED indicators should be captured in a dimmer set-up so they actually read on camera
Frequently asked questions
Can you shoot screen content on our device?
Yes, both ways. We film real screens where authenticity matters, using settings that avoid banding, and composite clean UI in post where the screen needs to be perfectly legible or shows unreleased software.
Do you produce content before the product is launched?
Regularly, under NDA. Pre-launch shoots usually happen with engineering samples, so we plan around cosmetic imperfections — a sample with a misaligned seam can still be shot if we know which angles to avoid.
What about Amazon and marketplace listing content?
We shoot the compliant hero, feature infographics and A+ modules alongside the marketing film, since electronics listings live or die on the annotated images. See e-commerce product photography.
How do you show something invisible like noise cancellation?
Through contrast and reaction rather than description: the environment loud, then the same environment with the product in use, cut with the wearer's reaction and a simple visual metaphor. Audio design in the edit does most of the persuading.
